Seeds are now available at the Sebastian County Library. Choose from a selection of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds to take home, plant, grow and enjoy.

How do I check out seeds?

Visitors to the library register and may check out up to five packets of seeds per visit, with a maximum of 20 per growing season. A limit has been set to make sure that as many community members as possible have access to this collection.

What seeds are available?

A variety of vegetable, herb and flower seeds are available. Varying quantities are available, and a weekly list will be posted to our Facebook page, Scott-Sebastian Seed Library.

This is on a first come, first served basis.

We will be actively taking in donations in seed donations and adding them to our seed library stock as they become available.

Why does SSRL have a Seed Library?

The purpose of the Seed Library is to inspire community members to grow their own food, create opportunities for gardeners to grow more varieties of plants in their garden, and to reconnect our community with the traditions of planting and harvesting.

Do you accept donations?

Yes, we do! Thank you for inquiring!

While we have been fortunate to receive a healthy initial stock of seeds (Thanks to Booneville's Tractor Supply!) We will need help replenishing the seed library when stocks get low. Any donation, be it extra seed packets you did not use, partial packets you didn't finish, or seeds collected from your own garden are welcomed. Seed envelopes are available as needed.

We ask that all donations are labelled clearly with any special instruction and date of harvest.

Thank you to the following seed vendors for their continued support.
